I got into a monster Twitter war (I know, it's the 7th circle of hell) with someone who was either trans or a rabid trans ally. I simply indicated that it was not fair to devalue biological women (shouldn't have to preface woman or women with the term biological, but here we are) and I was particularly talking about sports. I was called bigoted, ignorant, hateful, transphobic, a hypocrite, a Trumpist, and my personal favorite, a woman hater. I told this person that prior to walking away from the Democratic plantation, I had never experienced the vitriol this a-hole was spewing at me. He kept screaming about trans women are women, and that if you disagreed, you were a bigot. There is absolutely no reasoning with these types of people.

Disagreeing with them will get you vitriol.
Disagreeing with them while being one of the subsets that's supposed to be "Left" will get you even more vitriol.

Tell 'em "You're born a bleeder or a seeder. You can stem the flow, so to speak, but switching the handles will never make hot water come out the cold side." :nono:

The Chamber of Commerce wanted this bad.

Usually, the fact that guns don't matter to the CoC puts us at a disadvantage. I tend to agree that this was a trade-off. If the tranny bill hadn't been there, I'm not certain we would have got CC. Sorta like we wouldn't have gotten Right to Work without the Super Bowl being in-town and forcing Democrats to be present for the vote.

I'll reserve judgment on this til I have more facts.
In other states that have legislatures who've made Bills like this, they were vetoed because there were deficiencies with them.
Then the Bill was tweaked and later passed into law.
SO I wouldn't be too quick to slam Holcomb yet.

Tangent...somebody PLEASE tell me what words/phrases to use to find this GIF. The obvious search isn't working for me. I've attempted multiple times on multiple websites and can't find it. Also tried searching on my text app and no luck there.

Yeah, I was pretty mad when I saw he had vetoed this bill. I did read his veto letter; maybe some of his concerns were legitimate, and I maybe could have given him a pass if he had indicated plans/hopes to pass a different, similar bill, but his letter just came across to me as not wanting to change anything at all with the way things are, so he seems perfectly happy letting Indiana sports walk the path to the nightmarish woke dystopia that we see in so many other places.

And I really don't get people saying "oh, this doesn't matter because women/girls should just refuse to compete." Like it or not, schools are government-run institutions, and school sports are absolutely the correct arena for expecting government laws to set basic rules for fair treatment of students and student athletes. Expecting hundred or thousands of girls to miss out on athletic opportunities, possibly for years, until the schools cave to their pressure is just an unfair and wrong-headed way of approaching things, IMHO. Though on the other hand, with the massive mess that our public school system is, I have to admit they'd be better off not even in public schools at all. We couldn't even get a bill passed in Indiana to get rid of CRT, and pornographic sex ed for grade-schoolers for heavens sake! I'm as happy about CC getting passed as anybody, but I honestly think that these sorts of issues are an even bigger deal in the long run.

    Okay, I'll end my rant...

Its all gross and weird. Its just sad that our society has gotten to this point were we need laws like this. Whatever happened to shame? These weirdos used to have enough shame to keep themselves quiet

Although these women have not asked for their circumstances, they have a choice to make. Stand up, or give in. It will reflect on their character. I guess it’s time for them to show they are adults and that they are willing to make adult decisions.
