I think we're getting to the finale. Chiefs of police, state police superintendent coming up.

I imagine a vote will be soon.

I'm not certain if it's sunk or not. Basically half of the committee has been silent this entire time. The minds have already been set. I just wish we'd skip through the theater and get to the vote.

Are there still enough “friendly” senators to carry?
I don't know the exact breakdown. But I am trying to stay around to find out. Too many anti-gunners staying the entire time.

All they have to do is wait until the last of the generation that lived in and remembers a relatively free country is gone and then they can legislate without debate or opposition.

    Points to be taken here:

Your elected officials are tyrants. Many of your law enforcement "professionals" are your enemies. Tyranny is alive and well in the Hoosier state. 21 other states have enacted constitutional carry, and they`re getting along just fine. When law enforcement determines your constitutional rights and your ability to freely exercise them, they are nothing but Gestapo. Period. I personally WILL remember that. whenever law enforcement wants MY help with anything. **** YOU!

Oh, who knows. Young, Gaskill, and Buck have made comments in the right direction. I'm just hoping we still have 6 in here on our side. Hoping for a silent majority of sorts.

Again, I think this is just theater. The fact that they put all the professionals for last is clearly on purpose to give an excuse for the Rs against it. Let's get the charade overwith and vote it.

I believe you're correct. Not solely on these officers. There were officers earlier who support it. It clearly shows the difference in Elected LEO vs Appointed.
And this is why I've been encouraging my representative to author a bill to make all law enforcement heads be elected. No appointees.

Are the "For's" going to get a chance to argue the points of the "Against's" at the end or is this just provided to the Against's?
I really doubt minds have changed either way. I think Sen. Tomes is right—this is a run-the-clock-out op. Get just enough of the good guys to bail out and then call a vote.
