I thought I read about the whole hospital treating prisoners thing thee other day. I need some education; carrying in hospitals that treat prisoners is prohibited by law, correct? If so, how do we tell if a hospital treats prisoners just based on the signage, or is it best practice to just look it up? Thanks in advance; I really don't know.Unless they treat prisoners then it has the weight of law I believe. Otherwise they can tell you to leave and if you don't it's trespassing.
ExactlyWhat no weapons sign?

Anymore I just don't carry in a hospital. Like you said you can't tell. I was at my Dr office and the sheriff brought in a prisoner to be treated. So now I know nor to carry there.I thought I read about the whole hospital treating prisoners thing thee other day. To the North as well. This might be a good time to remind everyone that such signs do carry the force of law in our neighboring state to the east (of which I am a recent refugee).
Doesn't JHammer get heavy?I don't carry any weapons I only carry tools!!!
Post in thread 'Hospital carry' https://www.indianagunowners.com/threads/hospital-carry.443457/post-9006812Whats the old saying..."I'd rather be judged by 12 than carried by 6", or "asking forgiveness is better than asking for permission",
blah blah blah etc etc etc
I don't believe this is the case. I think it only applies to facilities that have a ward for securing patients. Not just any Dr.s office.Anymore I just don't carry in a hospital. Can someone find the Indiana law, and post it for this discussion? It would be nice to see what it actually says.I don't believe this is the case. I think it only applies to facilities that have a ward for securing patients. Not just any Dr.s office.
Years ago, I had a problem with a metal detector at the Statehouse.I don't carry any weapons I only carry tools!!!
You should have used the old "Don't you know who I am?" ploy!Years ago, I had a problem with a metal detector at the Statehouse.
