Yep quite a few. A 39A was my first for Christmas when I was 12, a few 10/22's and an assortment of other rifles, pistols and revolvers. Quite a fun round when I'm in the mood.

I picked this up for about 100 bucks at my LGS and refinished it to give to my oldest grandson for his 12th birthday. It's a Stevens Model 87D (another gill gun). It was made in 1959, same year I was born. :)
DD, I have a gill gun that I refinished, but it will only feed about 2 shells before it jams. If you are intimately familiar with these guns I would sure like you to take a look at it.
BTW, it is only one of quite a few 22LR firearms.

I'm no gunsmith by any stretch of the imagination! I've never had any problems with my High Standard or with the Stevens I gave to the grandson. I don't know that I'd be of any help. When you say "jams", do you mean it fails to eject, or stovepipes, or something else? Maybe someone else here on INGO may know what would cause the problem. I guess my standard answer to fix things of "Try rebooting" doesn't apply. :):

I call em clik-clak guns. Very unique sound to the action, and the bolt doesn't close after firing until you release the trigger. Mines a High Standard rifle. Nice job on the re-finish.

I was at a gun store today and the guy behind the counter, a very young guy, commented that he stocked up on every caliber but .22 lr.
He said that .22 lr is always in stock.
He must be too young to remember Sandy hook.

I currently do not have a .22, but I have 4 lbs of bacon in the fridge.
As a kid there was always one or four around, my great aunt's 9 shot revolver (Iver Johnson?) was my favorite.
For my first gun my dad gave me an option, .22 or .410. I picked a 410 and never got around to getting a .22, need to get that sorted.

I actually don't currently own a .22lr. I have had several in the past but for one reason or another I've sold or traded them all off. I need to get another one
