My semi auto .22s are picky on what ammo they function well in. Especially my Beretta 21A. Do others have this with their 22s?
I bought one 2 weeks ago, the Beretta Bobcat 21A, just for fun.
I've had a dozen of the tip-up barrels over the years.
Painted up the minimal sights & ran to the range.

    74 rounds of CCI Mini-Mags at 15' & 20'.
POI 2" low & I had to bring the red front sight completely above the green rear sight.
    0/72 failures

    Then another 72 rounds.
Aguila Super Extra with POI close to the POA.
    2/24 failures
    (2nd & 3rd rds of the 1st mag had a FTL & FTEJ)

Armscor 36 gr. HP; POI 1" low of POA
    1/24 failures (FTL)

    Rem. 22 Thndrbolts
    0/16 failures;
    POI close to POA

    Fed. AutoMatch
    1/8 failures
(FTL); POI high & low of POA???

You're supposed to use only HV & I try to stay awake from HP, as well, although the Armscor 36 grain HP did great that I tried them.

If I keep it clean and don't feed it total junk, my 10/22 feeds everything.

My MK III is a little more finicky. Lower power/standard velocity ammo doesn't always have enough umpf to fully cycle the bolt.

    Least used rigs.

I dont really hunt squirrels anymore.

Kid has medical that interferes w rifle so .22 pistol works for her

Deer spot.landowner says groundhogs in barn, house behind so only can shoot safely in one direction. CCI segmented HP will get the nod for the CZ455. Be polite w the report. Landowner is cool, just wants em gone but still.

Might as well justify keeping it. You know, shoot 2 groundhogs every 5 years LOL. Rather convert to .22.magnum

Yes. I still shoot the 10/22 I bought in 1981. The SR22 I bought a few years ago is a great little gun. Not to mention if I shot .45 all the time I'd be broke...

After firing a 17 my 22's got gone. Then as prices keep going up Im able to hand load 9mm for same price as 22lr.

Simple enough question. I have made the comment that “everyone who owns guns has a .22”. While that may have been somewhat true in the past, I can’t say that is the case anymore. There are a lot of new gun owners out there with the small/medium sized handguns being popular for new buyers. Since I have to assume INGO is semi representative or at least made up of gun owners……..

(All valid polls include bacon. But I assume Bacon lovers also like their rimfire. Not liking bacon is weird. Not owning a .22 is weird.)
Most people seem to own one and its even more popular with the increasing price of ammo over the last few years. Heck I own five 22s at the moment
