It still blows my mind that people are surprised to find out this forum has rules! Every other forum I’m a member of has rules and requirements for using the classifieds, and a few of them REQUIRE site support status (paid subscription) to use them!

Good evening. Group dynamics: it's a real thing in person and it's also a real thing on the Interwebz. People here tend to be very protective of the site, it's a big dysfunctional family but it's OUR big dysfunctional family.

Unlike most places on the web, we actually know each other in the realz quite often.

We've also seen our share of folks come here for something shiny in the classifieds. INGO is a discussion forum with classifieds, not Gunbroker with a discussion forum.

Well I have lived a long and very productive life of 71 years. I have seen them come and go in my time on this rock and my comments were on point. It is my job to do just that in this forum. When I see things slipping sideways I am going to respond. How you take that is up to you of course. And no, thats what purple is for.
