Dasha is a woman's name. Sasha is a unisex name. Misha is a woman's name.

I got bitched at by a Russian woman because I had a female dog named Misha. I didn't bother to explain to her the the female dog was named after Princess Mishawaka daughter of the Shawnee Indian Chief Elkhart.

And you are probably correct, nobody wants to be stuck in the truck for 90 minutes with me!
But you have a female dog named Walter, so there's that.

So, all of the womenswooning over Mikhail Barishnikov, calling him Misha were demonizing him more than he already had himself?

NO, sorry, totally my typo. MISHA IS A MAN'S name. I corrected my post.

    So correctly:
    Dasha is a WOMAN's name
    Sasha is a UNI-SEX name
    Misha is a MAN's name
And Walter the female Walter Terrier is named after Walter Burley Griffen. Walter terriers have a bloodline that apparently comes from Australia. W.B.G. is the "Frank Lloyd Wright" of Australia, and is a very famous architect down under. He also designed my home, which was supposed to have been built in 1912. We finally built it in 1995 after finding pen & ink drawings of of his original design, which was never built because the blueprints were destroyed in a fire. So our Australian dog is named after an Australian architect, but both were born in the USA.

So have any of you ever sustained an injury to a finger from turning say a lid of a jar or something?

I went to twist my cap off my chlorinator which is like 9 inches across. My middleish finger cracked 3 times and went to instant pain.. I've lost some movement and it feels tight

Nah but I tried to fly once and when I woke up, part of my index finger was gone.

Got the truck emptied out, grabbed some packing tape and ratchet straps, drinking my coffee now. Departing for Notre Dame shortly to pick up Dasha from campus to bring her back home. She will stay with us until Monday evening when she flies off to Kiev and her real home.

If I am smart I will also take a bottle of Advil for my muscles and some ear plugs to block out the Russian music she plays, loudly. Typically she talks louder, so I can hear her, over the thumping of her Russian electro-punk music while she asks if i am enjoying the song. Fortunately she doesn't do that in the house.

Maybe I'll just pull the fuse for the radio?

    I'd say tendon.
I'd bet this is the right answer.

I have dislocated my thumb three times carrying walk planks when the guy on the other end allowed it to roll without letting me know.

The last time about 3 years ago took a year to stop hurting. Going to a Church where men shake hands like men was tough.

    Why, yes. Yes it is.
