Got both of my guns back from Aaron at Armory 219. Did a great job on both, at what I thought were very reasonable prices. Nice to deal with as well. Thanks for the rec.
If I may ask, what type of work did you have done there? Does he have a specialty or is he an all around gunsmith?

He's an all around. Modern definitely. He does a lot of AK/AR builds. I'm unsure about milsurp. For me, I had him check on a WWI Birthier headspacing and a feeding issue/spring lightening on a GHM9.

I had him do a tear down and general service on a model 12 I have -- I could not get the slide to be as slick as they usually are, and had occasional issues with it catching. It's absolutely buttery now.

He also did some stock repair on a mid 60s Miroku sxs for me, and it came out great. The ears of the stock were warping off of the action and they are tight now.

He does specialize in AK pattern rifles though, particularly building custom ones, but I was pleased with what he did on my two guns.

Well slowly getting the reloading room back together... Had to get a new jig saw to cut some stuff and this battery operated one is pretty neat... Wish I could cut something straight though... Waiting for a call from Armory219 to get my rifle back from him for some shop work on her... Luckily we are in a ammo slump and my reloading room is torn up right now or the wait would drive me nuts... Good to hear you guys were happy with his work... He's a good smith...

Went to Westforth for the first time yesterday. They have a crapload of inventory. Nothing I couldn't live without, but lots of especially long guns on the racks. Whole bunch of Beretta 71s with the fake suppressors still on em which was kinda funky, and one very clean Hamden stamped High Standard that I kinda dug. Also one reasonably priced MKII Target ($450 IIRC.) Lots of ammo behind the counter as well, but I wasn't looking for any so didn't pay much attention to what.

We finally got to honor one of my Dad’s final wishes yesterday, by taking him to the range one last time. With the help of a friend (met here on INGO) he was loaded into some 12G shells and myself, my siblings, darkkevin and some of my Dad’s family said goodbye in a way my Dad would truly appreciate.
Overall it was a fantastic day, even with the little bit of rain that came down.
One of my uncle’s also gave me a couple of loaders that my Dad had given him and he doesn’t need (he’s got his own fancy set up) so I think that’s pretty cool. Maybe I’ll get more into shotguns now.
