Judge dismisses NRA bankruptcy case, leaving group to face New York lawsuit

The case was over whether the NRA should be allowed to incorporate in Texas instead of New York, where the state is suing in an effort to disband the group.

When liberals attack NRA, they`re attacking all of us, it`s that simple, it`s that straightforward. Their end game is total destruction of Second Amendment rights in America. They once hid their real intentions, or at least openly denied them. But today, they`ll look you in the eye and tell you they mean to take all your arms. Even just one vote, for just one liberal is a slap in the face to the Bill of Rights and freedom loving Americans everywhere.

The problem here is the issues with malfeasance of funds are legitimate. I'm not saying other foundations (like the Clinton Foundation) haven't done the same thing. I'm just saying the NRA has, and it's fairly obvious. The lawsuit, although it is a blatant political attack, has merit.

The NRA will have it's day in court. Having read some of the evidence, and having experience with 501c3 accounting as a CPA, I think the NRA is toast. If they were my client, I'd be nervous.

I realize this is a NPR story, but there are tons of issues here that you just CANNOT do as a foundation. No officer can benefit personally with charity money. If the NRA were for profit, no big deal. But a charity cannot be used for the personal benefit of an officer. And it looks like this went on to the tune of millions.
