Let me go way out on a limb and predict that the same anti-maskers are going to be anti-vaccine.
Yes you are way out on a limb by yourself. I get vaccines that have been proven I'm no longer a GI that is given a cocktail of unproven vaccines. I choose to pick ones that have actually been tested properly, then used for a long period of time and are known to work and what the long term side effects are.

I'm anti mask because if you don't have the proper mask and the proper hygiene it doesn't matter. I've had several Dr tell me the Chinese virus is so small it will pass through cloth or surgical mask droplets or without droplets. No n95 no proper hygiene no reason to wear a mask.

    I'll add this.
If you are lucky to have an n95 mask and you adjust it or touch with unwashed hands, or lay it down on unknown cleaned surfaces you're contaminating the n95 mask making it useless.

I think it's just a sticker, like "I voted"; I actually saw that last night.

Don't worry, Bug - if you don't like it, you can just stay in your basement.
That was the first real evidence I saw of voter fraud. There was this one person dressed in blue and had like 7 "I voted" stickers!

    No, it is spit.

When you speak, you spit. When you sneeze, you spit. When you cough, you spit.

That is why we wear masks and distance to reduce (not eliminate) the range and effectiveness of the spit cloud from talking, sneezing, coughing. We wear masks and distance for others, not for ourselves. Public health officials did a miserable job of education the public and politicians cynically took advantage of the ignorance at large.

But, there is good news on the horizon, CDC says no mask if you have been vaccinated. We are on the way to ending this political debate.

What is disgusting is that not doing the right thing has turned into some form of political protest or statement. We have Buck Sexton whining like a toddler about "a rag" on his face. My hope is that this political anti-mask morality play ends soon with the vaccination pushing us into herd immunity.

Disgusting? My what hyperbolic words you choose. Maybe "disappointing" could be more accurate. I mean, unless you're really like "ewww" when someone complains about having to wear a mask. I mean some people have a gag reflex.

Well. I think where the two might overlap would be if vaccination is made mandatory. I've seen a lot of people here who have expressed anger in this thread about mandatory masks also post in other threads about getting scheduled or having received the vaccine. I'm not anti-maks or anti-vaccine, but I am against making any of that mandatory. So I'll forgive you if you mistake me for anti-mask or anti-vaccine.

30 more fellas and make them count.
    Why start now? ;)
Because all the numbskulls and non-observers will be locked out of the new thread.......:dunno:

Has no one paid any attention.

Okay. So just to spell it out unambiguously, it sounds like this one gets locked at 5K. And some people may be locked out of the new one. The criteria for being locked out of the new one is being a numbskull and/or being a non-observer (I guess of rules).

A couple of questions have developed as I typed that out. I thought the locking of threads at 5K was due to performance of the old platform. And that with the new system performance would be at least a little better. So is there another reason besides performance that threads get locked at 5K? I'm not questioning the policy, just asking.

To reset a train wreck like this turd is a plus for us. A fresh start with solid ground rules established seems to be what is needed to keep everything at least close to in line. It is by my choice OK.

No I am anything but happy right now.

As to the lock outs. Let me make this perfectly clear to all involved.
If I or any staff member posts an inn thread the 1st one that ignores gets locked out. No warning. We are tired of begging members to act like adults.

The 2nd one gets the same treatment and the 3rd will get the thread locked. Complain and get escorted to the gate maybe for good.

Just know I am weary of being ignored and it is always the same numbskulls that seem to do it so your days are numbered. Unless you just stop igniting fires and pissing people off. If you cant stop then sit in this seat. It has an ejection function.

Also, the reports we get will be taken to heart.

Fair enough. One thing though about the no-warning lockouts. Sometimes people react to posts as they see them and may not see the in-thread warning until they've made several posts. I think that's happened to me before. I'll be a couple pages behind and respond to something and not see the in-thread warning until I get that far.

    Anti vaccine mandate, yes.

I'll get the vaccine (it is pretty much inevitable, given my line of work, anyway). I won't virtue signal about it, though. (If I don't post about it on social media, did I really even get the vaccine?)

It's getting silly. Usually if someone at work needs to go do something, they'll just group text that they'll be away for awhile and then go do their business. Now, it's, "*I* have to be away for while because *I'm* getting *my* covid vaccine today."

    Does anyone really care?

This is similar to people signaling, "I have to go to the store so I'll be back in awhile. Of course I'll be double masked."

    Does anyone really care?
