    Democrats love "science."
Then they defund NASA and shut down our space program.

This is just another obama move from biden.

One of the more interesting lines in an interesting peaces reads as follows: "The problem for Mr. Musk is that SpaceX has been awarded lucrative contracts by the Earth-based U.S. government. If SpaceX were to create a colony on Mars, because of the company’s contractual relationship with the U.S. government, Washington very much expects that colony to be an American endeavor. "

I was unaware that acceptance of government contracts in exchange for goods and services signified perpetual indentured servitude.

At some point, we're going to have frontiers again, and there will be people who want to leave Earth for the moon, a space station, or even Mars. Do you think the questions of ownership and jurisdiction will be settled amicably?
I think Biden should let Mr Musk be, the man who gave us electric cars (Tesla), which will help with global warming and climate change, considering the carbon dioxide gas/petrol cars have used to ruin our society air, water and food.

If Mr Musk thinks SpaceX is possible and he can shoot his satellite to space and there is a possibility for man to live on Mars, they should let him do it.

    IMO.

I think you might want to reword your statement. Musk didn’t ”give” us anything. Yes, he has vision and is creative. He also is the biggest film flam man since PT Barnum. I’d do the research to add up all the public dollars he’s received from the government ( read that as you and me taxpayer ) but it would just make me sick.

His car company has never made an operating profit. Never. If it weren’t for political and media support and government (see above) funding the electric car phenomenon would never have had any traction. (Please excuse the pun). Every article I’ve read that is science based says the rare earth mineral mining is finite and an environmental disaster that is completely dependent on foreign countries. Electric generation for fueling electric cars is primarily done with coal and natural gas. Battery disposal is a landfill nightmare environmentalists won’t discuss.

Sorry, I will never be a Musk fan.

Your point is well understood and I quite agree with you. I will do more on my research, thanks for the enlightenment.
