Stay and hang out! There are a lot of threads about all kinds of topics. Surely you can find one or more that interest you. As you can tell, the members here are pretty protective of what we have in this forum/community. Many of us have met IRL and have made good long term friendships as a result. Some of us have never met, but still consider one another to be friends.

In the immortal words of Jed Clampett, "Set a spell, Take your shoes off. Y'all come back now, y'hear?" :)
Thanks! Appreciate the kind words. Definitely didn't do a great job at making a first impression.

Just decided to stick around for the day and apologize. Didn't want to leave the forum without doing that cause it seems like this place is really important to a lot of people and I regretted taking a shot at the forum.
BRAVO! Stick it out and you'll be snarking the new guys with the best of them soon enough!:rockwoot:

OK, you've got 6 in one day. there is still time for a couple more quality posts today. Keep it up and in a week you will be a member in good standing. Start an Intro thread and a lot of INGOers will welcome you and you can reply and drive up that post count legally.

Then you cam post one liners and buy and sell in the classes.

Then you can make friends, learn a lot and sign up as a site supporter to help defray the bills.

Tom is merely stating, you should (or could) start a thread in the intro section.
Introduce yourself. Say hello. Maybe mention things you are into. So the members see you as a person, not a screen of words (hopefully).

His comment about the 50, one liners, and selling in the classies.
The 50 is just to keep out people that want to use the forum as a place to sell.
We try to keep the place as a group of people, exchanging info, that also have the option to buy/sell/trade with each other.
The 50 means you are contributing. (Some people contribute by paying for Site Supporter Status).
Many of us, want to know the type of person we are exchanging guns, goods, services, and money with.

After you get the 50, they don't look to see if the post is "quality".

Many people will post quick smarmy responses.
But before 50, we've had THOUSANDS of people join the forum and post things like "1", "2", or "okay", "trying to get 50", and things like that.
    That's not really "contributing".

I hope you stick around. Maybe you'll learn something, or teach something, or just have fun.
If you're not into guns, well we have an outdoors area, and a political area.
If you take blood pressure, might want to take it before venturing into politics. Keep a thick skin.

You’ll be fine. Thanks for the apology to everyone, definitely shows you’re man enough to admit when you **** up. We’ve all had our warnings from the mods for one reason or another. You’ll find they’re pretty cool peeps for the bs they deal with on a daily. The political section gets kinda rowdy at times, we get new guys that troll or try to stir ****, and guys that join just to buy something they saw in the classifieds and never post again. That’s fine, you can pay $20 to be a site supporter and get access to private message members and buy whatever they’re selling, or hang out and get 50 posts. I think you’ll like it here, we got all different types, all kinds of topics, and lots of people willing to help any way they can.

But you better hurry, I’ve been eyeing that canoe also.

    Kidding.
