only takes one shot. I'm not the kind to spray a room. unless your "church" is the size of a gym or arena...ya I suppose you're right.:n00b:
nope, because a .38 is the most proven manstopper. if ya want 50-60rds of .45 go for it. my opinion is a sp101, it'll kill them. Period. put it in your pocket.
you must be unreasonably afraid if you think you need a deadly .38, personally I think a single shot .22 and a mean look is all you need. It only takes one shot after all!

    ;)

Wait - are seriously suggesting that a gun fight is likely (or even possibly) to only require one shot?

PS - Our church is held in a gymnasium right now, so...

I carried a 1911 Government for many years at work even when the management changed to a no work place gun. Dress was expected, jacket and tie. I carried a 5" or 6" in a Kramer IWB at 4:00 O'Clock. Gave reports etc in front of 8-15 department heads and never once was I called for carrying and some were real anti gun. In Church I always wore a suit, grandpa was a Baptist Minister, carried with a Jackass shoulder holster or the Kramer IWB. Today I dress in a tee or hoodie with pocket carry or Kramer IWB with a Colt 1903 Hammerless in .32 ACP. Old hands can't take recoil any more so 2-3 to the head or pelvic area takes anyone out. At distances in the church I go to I can keep a mag full on fast shooting under the 2" mark.

I think (hope) he is just trolling.
The dead horse, the crybaby, the one shot bravado - yeah gotta be trolling sarcastically...

Nope, I think he's seriously delusional about how gun fights happen in real life.

never seen a man survive a head shot once, personally, yet. have you, personally?

How many people have you shot in the head? :dunno:

How many gun fights have you been in such that you're convinced you can be Mr. One Shot Kill despite the all the evidence to the contrary? I've never heard any serious trainer claim that you should plan on one shot to the head and the fight is easily won.

I've never witnessed anyone actually being shot in the head live and in person, but yes, I've seen videos of people surviving head shots, including one of an officer of my local PD who took a .45 ACP round in the forehead and walked away from it.

The lady killed in the snow shoveling murders out in PA a few weeks ago took a couple of shots in the head / face before the neighbor came back and finished her off with a long gun.

Pistol rounds suck. Active shooter scenarios are chaotic, dynamic, and threats often require engagement at considerable distances. I don't think you'd find any first responder who would want to go into an active shooter scenario with a revolver if they could avoid it.

Maybe you prepare for different self defense scenarios, and that's cool, but it seems silly to come in here and troll folks who are prepared for a worse case situation.

    a POCKET .357 sp101...

    Hmmmmmm

I thought a .38 derringer was good enough
pocket derringer or small revolver in front pocket

    Okay.
    My bad.
a pocket derringer OR a small revolver.

I guess we just have different ideas of SMALL.

    Carry what you want.
    I could care less.

    That's quite the statement.

    "the MOST proven manstopper".

Unfortunately, I seem to be unable to find proof of that.
    Maybe you could help me?

    And..
    "50-60 rds of .45"?
    What?
What kind of .45s are you looking at?
