Rusty, I am sorry to hear of what happened today. I’ve never experienced that level of loss but my parents did before I was born when they lost a newborn. My father would always correct my mother when she would say that they had 5 children to remind her that they had 6. When my father passed, we discovered that he had carried my sister’s prayer card in his wallet every day for decades in remembrance of her. Your purchase of the SAA reminds me of his dedication.

When my father died, we were all heading towards Pittsburgh for his funeral. My sister was heading up from Virginia Beach and was spending the night at a hotel room. She says that in the middle of the night, she woke up and there was a woman sitting on her bed that looked like she had just stepped away from a party for a moment. My sister asked who she was and instead of answering, she said not to worry, he’s with us and he’s Ok. She asked again and the woman said “I’m Kathy!”. Kathleen was the name that my parents had given to the newborn.

When my brother got to the hotel where we were all staying, during check-in, he gave our last name. The staff member looked up the reservation and said “Here it is, Kathleen ____”. He said “No, it’s Jerry” and the staff apologized and said that she had no idea why she said Kathleen, when it clearly said Jerry.

Maybe it all means nothing but I have to believe that there’s more to the world than we know and that you will someday get to meet the little cowboy or cowgirl.

Been playing with a new RCBS Chargemaster Lite tonight. I wanted 2 matching powder pans to so one could be loading while the other was emptied. Looked online and didn't quickly find what I wanted so I JB Welded a washer to the bottom of a pan I had and adjusted the epoxy to match the weight of the other pan. Another quick and easy solution.:)

I know I don’t know a lot of you, but I need to put this somewhere for my mental health...

I’ve always wanted to be able to purchase a new firearm the day my child was born... I came along in my daughters life when she was just over 2, 4.5 now... My wife and I found out a little over a week ago that she was carrying a child of our very own. Today, however, that was no longer meant to be.... Roughly 6 weeks into the program, our little one decided that this world wasn’t for he/she... It’s been an extremely rough day... Mama is healthy, no complications with her.

So on the way home from the doctors after confirming what had happened, I told her that I needed to make a stop... I would never be able to buy that firearm for my first child on their birthday.... She understood... So whenever I grab this cheap little black single action .22 revolver, I’ll think of my little cowboy or cowgirl that never got to be.... It’s not the little baby I had hoped to be holding later this year, but it certainly will not be forgotten...

Dang it, So very sorry to her of this RH. My oldest daughter had 3 - (*one was starting the 3rd Trimester*) It isn't fun being where the mother's are in this and for us it is overwhelming. You did good getting the handgun. That little soul is in eternity FOREVER with the Creator. That alone gives me hope. If any of your family needs anything - give me a jingle....
