I changed the fuses in mine today shooting on a friend's piece of real estate. Every time I pulled the trigger, they went off well.

Springfields are amazing. Range officers run great and eat about anything.

TRPs are amazing, and you can usually find them for about $1000 used.

Colts are good but they can be picky about mags.

I’ve never been one to recommend any 1911 that falls into that price range. I would save a bit more and roll with a Dan Wesson. A nice used DW will run you $1200 or so.

If $800 is truly the number, I would be looking Ruger or Rock Island. Outside of that, at the $800 mark I personally think there are better choices than the 1911. Good luck!

There’s is no chance I would pay over $400 for a rock island... stick with springy or Ruger.

I had a thread that was lost in translation. I'll ask here. INGO 1911 lovers are the Girsan MC1911 NOEL in 45acp any good?

It's new out this year i ran across it doing searches for in stock Ronin 10mm's.

So INGO 1911 Guru's what are your thoughts on this one?

    Blasphemy I say.........:)

Not everyone has the budget that some of use (and you) seem to have for the 1st 1911. A used Springer RO or similar will serve them well. There are a lot of non-fired/lightly used pieces floating around. Patience and cash in hand will get you in the door.

And trust me I understand your end of this. I drool over your 1911's when you post them up.

Good luck finding a Ronin. I was the guys with this thread a month ago. Ended up settling for a Taurus until i can find a Ronin. The Taurus will probably stick around though, its a nice straight shooter and hasn't given me any issues.

I don't know anything about 1911s, but I see a lot of guys talking about Ronins in here and I saw one hit the classys earlier for exactly the OPs budget.

The way you guys are chatting them up, I'm guessing it's already sold, but...?

Anyhow... No affiliation with the seller or any of that, but I thought it was a pretty sharp looking pistol.

I talked to the Ronan guy. I was hoping to spend a little less then that, and it's a 9. I also talked to someone about a used stainless Springfield that had just a little work done to it, and I could probably just afford it, but then I wouldn't have anything left over for a couple mags and a holster. I'm not in a hurry, so eventually the right one will come along.

Thanks again to everyone who helped with advice. I'll do a range report when I finally do get one.
