    You sound like my wife....

I don't talk in thought process regarding secular subjects...I talk in stream of consciousness like we were sitting in a bar.

I save thought process for conversations that really matter.

Faulty thought process, those people will be dead. You should be looking at the number who didn't die because of the spool down of the economy

If an earlier prediction was accurate at 240000 dead, and you drop it to 100000, then you would be dividing government expenditures by 140000 to derive the taxpayer expenditure per citizen saved. Hard numbers for who might have died but didn't are likely to be hard to come by

It's only a matter of time until these places are in need of a bailout. Watch CHE.

Try using technology. If it’s liquor stores you’re “wineing” about (get it?), go to Belmont beverage’s website and page thru their inventory, add what you want to your cart, pay for it and go pick it up curbside. Their search function sucks, but paging thru alphabetical listings will eventually get you there.
I’d rather try NOT crippling the ****ing economy by forcing PRIVATE businesses to close and operate on the .gov’s approved model of the day. What’s next curbside by alphabetical order? Hope your name isn’t ****ing Zelinski.

See the UPDATE at the bottom of this article: https://thefederalist.com/2020/04/10/indiana-governor-to-churches-worship-as-i-say-or-be-shut-down/

New info from lawyers: @GovHolcomb's religious restrictions were in a statement attached to an executive order w/o the restrictions. This misled the public about what is permitted while trying to protect his butt from religious discrimination lawsuits.

So he's essentially backtracking on the religious restrictions. (Yes technically there never were restrictions, but...) So at least no one will actually be arrested for religious observance, but this is still part of a very concerning trend nationwide.

This is exactly what I'm talking about:

Twenty-four residents of a Madison County nursing home have died, suspected of COVID-19, Indiana State Health Commissioner Dr. Kristina Box said Friday.

The 24 residents lived at Bethany Pointe. On Monday, Box said 11 residents had died.

Of those 24, 16 tested positive for COVID-19. The other eight had symptoms that matched the virus.

So, out of a facility that houses 75 people, we have 16 who tested positive, and another 8 suspected. And (at least based on what is being reported), no evidence that the deaths were caused by COVID19 - and even if they were, it's a nursing home, which means that there were likely underlying conditions involved.

That said, what is very clear is that we absolutely need to have protocols in place to keep the most at-risk/vulnerable isolated as much as possible. That seems clear to me, regardless of what any rates, curves, or statistics tell us. We know this virus is particularly dangerous for a particular subset, and we need to do what we can to protect that subset.

    flatten the curve

When you look at the total dollars spent on the medical industrial complex this makes perfect sense. I wonder if this graph represents administration costs for the medical field alone or also adds those in the insurance industry.
