I went back three pages to find out what kind of cleaning tablets were being discussed. No luck, so I gave up.

Whole lotta posts in this IMPORTANT thread...

Steramine. If you scroll up four posts to where I quoted IndyBeerman, you can click the arrow next to his name to see the post I quoted. I think he quoted a DoggyDaddy's post about the Steramine.

Nah, just a difference in terminology I think. :)

    Not you, DD.

But, you post anything on INGO and someone will either: 1) call you an ignoramus, 2) say they have owned one longer and it's a) better b) faster c) creates a wound cavity that could house a family of opossums or 3) accuse you of TDS.

Or....they will tell you not to post on "their" thread with irrelevant stuff.

But...I guess cleaning supplies is relevant, so....

did I tell you about the Brillo pads I used to stuff into fire ant mounds, douse with lighter fluid and set afire?

So, looking at Allen Co's data...

They show 76 cases positive. (a bit delayed, yes) And all of those 76 had, at minimum, hospitalization.

Am I correct in understanding there's there's probably a large, indeterminate amount of people infected that have milder symptoms that don't require hospitalization, and therefore aren't tested?

Does anyone really know how many people are infected? And how much does that matter?

    No.

As much as the iceberg below the surface matters more than the tip that shows above the surface.

No, but you have my attention! That speaks to my inner pyromaniac. :):

So... we got no f'ing clue as to what's really happening.

Are we slowly building up a herd immunity in the background?

In the greater scheme of things, sure, but to individuals, not so much.

Knowing exactly how many this or that will not change my behavior at all and I imagine that is the same for most people.

The problem is, my behavior and activities are dictated by people that need this information.

What are you going to do, tweet Trump about what he should do?

Take the personal measures you deem appropriate and sit back and watch...or don't.

At this point, most of us are just spectators. What happens will happen when it happens. We can address it at the ballot box in the future.

I use Steramine sanitizing tablets instead of bleach. It is used in the restaurant industry. Kills everything that bleach kills. A bottle of 150 tablets is cheap and makes 150 gallons of sterilizer. No bleach smell, no danger of chemical burns, easy to use in a spray bottle and food prep surface safe. You just use 1 tablet per gallon of water. It's always fresh because you make it as you need it. A lot easier to store a bottle of Steramine than 150 gallons of bleach.

I can't believe a person who is trained in rhetoric could make such a comment.

Of course it matters! And yes, whether you know it or not, accurate data will likely change your behavior. Inaccurate data has already changed your behavior.
