My old CJ (currently under the knife) had an engine-driven York compressor rated at 10 CFM and 100+ PSI. I can run an impact gun, and reseat tire beads. Handy.
I do carry a plug kit in the "truck tools". Also have a small 12V compressor, that will work in a pinch. I seem to have a flat (or low) tire about every 2 years or so, on one of the vehicles or the trailer. The trailer is the worst at picking up nails and screws. My wife's previous car was bad, too. The Jeep and truck, not so much of a problem.
And more on topic: my wife can change a tire, but honestly, that is what I am for. My daughter will be taught as well.
