For those of you who have put a scope on your lever gun.
What are you using as a mounting system?

I'm looking at maybe getting the xs sight rail for my marlin 1894.

Here is a couple with my custom 336 Marlin in .35 Rem.
Didnt mean to turn it into a hunting thread but that's how most of my pics are.

And a Savage 99 on point waiting its turn.

I'm digging that custom marlin. What all did you have done to it?

It is a 1955 model that was in really rough shape. I stripped it down and had the metal cerakoted in tungsten gray with black accents. Replaced the broken stock with a Boyd's gray laminate. Also chopped the barrel to 18". Turned out great and drops everything I shoot at. Usually use 200 gr corelok over LVR powder but I'm about out of them and have switched to Speer 180 and 200.
However I did shoot that 8 ptr with a home cast RCBS 200 gr.

Just got bored waiting for the deer that never showed up. All I ever killed with the Savage was paper. It was a .308 and I didnt care for it so I sold it.

This topic is going too well.

We need to argue over whether .30-30 is better than .35 Rem or vice versa.
