My son and I went shooting this weekend, took my AR, my Tac-14, and my 336, had problems with the Tac, and the AR, but the 336 ran like a trooper...."I need one gun that wont jam" (Frank Hamer in the Highwaymen)

Here's a couple Marlin 39's, top is a Centry model, bottom I just picked up its a 1973 39M Octagon, only made 2140 of these. Stumbled into it at a LGS

I have to ask, where did you get those levers on the 336's

I got them from Midwest Gun Works, about $71 each, easy to change out, you do have to remove the plunger and spring from your old lever and install in the large loop. I also installed a couple shims from Ranger Point on the screw inside of the lever housing to eliminate any side to side play that was there. I like my levers snug with little or no play.

Love it, levers do not get the love they deserve sometimes. May have to break out a picture of my Belgium made Browning .243 lever.
