Wow, the president is rattling on and on and on on gun control at the White House.

Edit - Woah, Pres said he doesn't like active shooter drills. Thinks they are negative. "Harden the schools, arm the teachers."

Now Curtis Hill talking about the above memo he wrote concerning our law.

Whoa, Herr frame, is that Noah's brother? Lol.
The president is being really dumb right now, blaming video games and movies. Geez. To protect the 2nd he's throwing the 1st under the bus?

I've also heard of this law and do not know what due process protections are in place. I'd like to know especially after dealing with the property room @ IMPD and their 2 MONTH wait estimate to get back my firearm.
There is a "mental health" court where a judge determines if the owner gets their guns back, no longer poses a danger.

So apparently there was a school resource officer, whatever that is, that was on site and did not go into the building after hearing gunfire. Sheriff says he should have went in and killed the shooter. Tweets say he was armed and the Sheriff’s comments imply as much.

I haven’t read everything there is to read, but what I first heard about the resource officer was that he was quite a way from where the shooting was going on.

From earlier reports the resource officer was in a different building and made is way to where the shooting was but the shooting was over and the killer had made his slip before the officer could intervene.
As best I can tell often a resource officer is an off duty or reserve officer that is employed by the school. Yesterday I watched the meeting with Pres Trump and others at the White House. One girl expressed concern that they only had the 1 officer and that sometimes they didn't have an officer because he would be gone for training.

I just saw this on the news, and it is a huge pile of steaming WTF.

    He's resigned.

    The elected sheriff looked PISSED.

And I'm left shaking my head. It kinda guts any argument about armed volunteers. Or at least, opens up to the liberals the "If a police officer won't even intervene...."

    ETA:
The NBC report was that he was outside the building where shooter was, went to one of the exits while the shooter was shooting, and then covered that exit. While shots were being fired inside.

...kind of guts any argunent... my arse!

Militaries have had deserters and we don’t hold this against them as a whole (the vast majority of us anyway).
