Why are firearms people "price gouging" their fellow firearms people? I know its a free market but that doesn't make it right. I get supply and demand but what i don't get is why people want to add to the sickening unnecessary rise in price of AR's. The only thing I can think of is most people are willing to screw their fellow gun enthusiasts in favor of the "all mighty dollar". This sickens me.

As a person with a limited gun collection wanting to expand i can tell you its difficult to find Ar's or Ak's for a reasonable price. that is for sure.

Hey, you're preaching to a very broad choir. I'm a long time gun owner, and with having a family at home (and we're a single income household) and I see where you're coming from. Now let me ask you this: Why now? Is it because of the scare of increased gun control? Now that I've asked you let me say, don't answer me. It's none of my business. But in comparison, I feel that people who waited until now to buy their guns could be too late.

Best said, don't count on individuals discounting to regular rates in the presence of a major lack of supply in times of demand. It's illogical. Prices will return to normal again in due time. Just need to learn patience, as I have to continue to learn more and more every day.

Quit complaining. This thread is a dupe of a million other threads of people just like you who failed to properly plan ahead of time. If you don't like the price, don't buy. It's that simple, period.

I have several handguns just not an AR. I just so happen to have the funds to get one now but did not before. Its not that I waited to long I just dont have a disposable income and it takes time to save up the money needed to buy a good AR. At the time I started saving the AR I wanted was around $900 to $1000 now they are going for almost twice that.

When all the grocery store shelves are empty, I expect you to sell me your stored goods at the price you paid for them. After all, you wouldn't want to gouge someone over food would you?

If you sell it too cheap the next guy is going to buy it and sell it at a higher price. So it's your gun and you deserve any profit.

    I fully expect the OP's 51st post to be a WTS: AR15 $600. Pmags $12 each. 223 ammo $.20 a round.

There is nothing wrong with making a reasonable profit but when you start charging double or more that in my opinion is too much and me and the other 98% of the people I know cant afford it. I will eventually buy one but I will wait until the frenzy is over and the prices come back down to the price I can afford.

I just wonder how many FFL businesses are going to go out of business if this mess ever corrects and they are stuck with AR's that they have priced at $2000 that no one is buying.

You know, because their distributor is charging them higher prices now as well.

No hornadylnl it will be WTB AR15 $900-$1300

So if I bought Gold at $900 an ounce, it would be unreasonable to sell it at $1800 an ounce today? Are you the reasonability police?

But you want others to sell at prices that you're unwilling to sell for? Color me shocked.

I totally agree with your point here. If you buy something and the price goes up you should rightly so be able to sell for a profit and feel good about yourself. What I don't agree with is people sniping stuff off of online retailers for the sole purpose of immediately turning around and auctioning the item off for a profit when the item is something that the buyer/seller has no desire to own. (It's bit of a run on sentence there grammar police. I apologize.)
