I love balsa aircraft, apparently, we are a dying breed though, as it seems to be getting harder and harder to find good kits. I also do quite a bit of scratch building.

Fantastic club isn't it. I fly quite a bit. Just recently had a mid-air with another electric warbird. Both are repairable and will be back in the air by this weekend. Mine will be anyway.

I think I'll probably shell out the dough for that set of Jimmie Allen "bluebird" plans they have on their site. I've always wanted to build one. Most gorgeous balsa model ever.

From what I have read balsa is getting tougher to get. There's still some great kits around though. Balsa USA makes decent looking kits and at a surprising price.

I'll give them a look. I've been really down ever since Hobby Supply South went under.

I also joined the NRA a couple weeks ago. I used to build Balsa models when I was a kid. It's one of the few things that kept my attention.

I put together a Sig four star .60 kit not too long ago. 1st non-ARF for me and I really enjoyed it. Laser cut pieces beat the heck out of the old stamped kits I used to put together as a kid. I've moved onto helis now. I have an EXI-450 that is my daily driver.

I was proud to be a member of NRA until I learned that the president of the NRA made major campaign contributions to Harry Reid, leader of the Senate and part of the liberal cartel that is destroying the USA and gutting the Constitution. I will not extend my membership in the NRA because I will not have my money going to support those who are destroying the nation. If the nation falls, the Second Amendment will fall as well. When the NRA selects a new president and/or renounces this campaign support, I will once again consider joining.
