Why is Mayor Daley such a ***** and not post his e-mail address? I want to e-mail him to ask if his bodyguards are armed? I think that it is time to have a GIANT group of people do a Open Carry march thru downtown Chicago.

Yes his bodyguards are armed. Remember they captured some escapee from Michigan City that got onto Little Dick Dailey's lakeside cottage property last year.

His Dad loved to have the cops beat and turn the dogs loose on the hippies. I have the feeling Little Dick Daley would enjoy doing that with gun supporters.

Well the gays were able to march, why not us? SCOTUS just affirmed that the 2nd is an individual right that cant not be usurped by the federal OR state governments.

They still left open "reasonable restrictions", as with previous cases. That's why it's so damned hard for DC residents to get a gun. Add into that fact that open carry is forbidden in DC, and the case did not address it, then you've got a recipe for disaster. The cops in Chicago would open fire on you and they'd get off scott free. H**l, they'd likely all get commendations.

I highly doubt that a Open Carry march thru downtown Chicago with lets say 150 - 200 people that police would NEVER just open fire on a group like that. Also, I doubt that they could even start arrests since there would be so many people. Hell instead of 150-200 lets get together 600-700 or a thousand.

OK, I'm in anyone else wanna show what kinda stones they got and join me?

    INGunGuy

Man, I've got stones, but their not made of titanium. You got to realize, the SCOTUS decision did NOTHING for us in the way of carry outside the home. It just said that it's ok to OWN firearms, not BEAR firearms. The SCOTUS made that pretty clear. It's a contradiction, I know.

Secondly, have you ever been to, or heard of anyone talk that's be in Cook County Jail? I'd rather go to a Federal Pen. They arrested over 500 protesters in Canada at the G20 Summit. Don't think for one second that CPD and ISP and probably the FBI wouldn't be right there to greet us either at the state line or in Chicago the moment we pop our trunk lids.

Now, if you can get one thousand or more AT THE IN/IL STATE BORDER ready to walk, rifles slung, into IL through Chicago, I'll come. But I'm not going unless we outnumber any force coming to throw us in Jail. Period.

No they didn't. In fact, the Court has said twice now that "reasonable" restrictions (as in, based upon the rational basis test) are unconstitutional.

And, FWIW, carrying a firearm in Illinois is a felony, and even possessing one is punishable by 6 months in jail. I highly suggest that you guys not do that.

I understand exactly where you are coming from, but what about Rosa Parks, she broke the law, and survived and became famous. What about gun owners, why cant we have our time in history?

So then SCOTUS rulings have no weight of law in Illinois? I mean they just ruled that the second was a individual right free of federal and state restrictions. What about the first amendment? I can speak about whatever I wanna speak about as long as I am not inciting a riot, or verbally assaulting someone. Yea crowded theaters and yelling fire, yea we all know about all this.... But I can go out and start spouting crap about blacks, Jews, whites, asians, mexicans, etc, and there isnt anything the government can do about it.
