    Hello,

So I'm starting to get more comfortable with carrying my handgun. I definitely understand that having a solid sturdy belt is extremely important! I'm curious what your recommendations on brands of belts or types etc.

I currently have a belt from SOE that does the job well on some really bad for carrying jeans, and sadly is too think to fit into my dicky shorts.

    So whats everyone using?

Avoid the 5.11 reinforced leather belts you find at Gander, etc. the finish scratches WAAAAAY too easy.

The super biobelt is my next belt purchase.

They aren't cheap belts, but you get what you pay for. Gun Belts by The Belt Man

Definitely. My SOE belt is awesome. I just need better jeans with more loops for it to be more effective! I'll check these out!

I went through a few stiff "non gun belt" belts and two purpose built "gun belts" before settling on this one. It is just awesome and I wear it every day: http://www.comp-tac.com/gun-belts/kydex-reinforced-contour-belt-10511

I would not recommend getting the "velcro option" on the belt. I did on mine and it just made the belt too thick to work with my holsters. I took a seam ripper and ripped the velcro off and now everything is great.
