I like that setup a lot Joker! What kind of scope/mounting system did you use? I put tech sites on mine, which are a huge improvement, but the older I get, the more scopes appeal to me.
It is a dust cover mount that I bought years ago. I can't remember the brand; but, it has always held zero. It came with extra material on the teats that meet the receiver. So, I had to take material off slowly with a file until it fit tightly. The real trick was getting a scope short enough to not get in the way of stripper clips.

Tech sights of course mount to the dust cover too and I've had no issues with them holding zero. I'm sure a receiver side mount would be steadier, but maybe that would be good enough. Not like I'd be doing any match shooting with an SKS anyhow. What kind of scope are you using?

Yeah. Minute of man at 100 to 300 yards was my expectation. It exceeds that bar.

So it looks like any decent LPVO would work? I might have to look into something like that. My SKS is an old beater Chinese by way of Albania that looks horrible on the outside, but has a really nice bore. Just looks like it would make it a lot more old man user friendly. :):
