heard a story where Wyatt was in hollywood as a consultant and this young actor would keep asking him questions about the old west while he was eating at the commissary. Turned out the young actor was John Wayne.

Not sure if the time frame would have worked out for that to happen or not as Earp died in 1929 and I think Wayne's first film was 1928 but that would have been really cool.
