This is why we carry...cause we are paranoid. Them smart antigunners would have talked their way out of the situation. Add purple where needed

Dark street, 2 guys walking up from behind as you approach your car. If you are not aware of your surroundings in that situation, you are asking for trouble. Looks like the not-to-be-victim was aware and ready, and good thing.

NUH UH! My quick reflexes could've beat that fool.

But seriously, too close for comfort. Not sure it was wise to get in the car unless his pistol was in there. Just my $.02

Pretty sure his pistol was in there. Tough to say for sure, but it looks like he reaches into the center console.

The good guy has the gun in hand before the guys even run up. You can see it in his right hand as he closes the car door with his left. He must have known what was about to go down.

Just once again proving that carrying without the proper mindset would do you no good at all!

Looked like he drew it from between the seat and console just before his butt hits the seat.

Probably SOP for getting in your car in RIO with ruffin's about.

He might have drawn before he got in the car and the frame rate and his body kept us from seeing it.:dunno:

Fantastic! Love seeing the good guy win! He obviously had a bad feeling at some point, good for him!

We assume he was a "good guy". The whole thing could have been a dispute amongst baddies. We don't know (I think).

His radar was definitely fully operational for the two thugs.
The only bad news was that he was wounded, even though it was apparently a graze, and he didn't get a twofer and permanently take both of the colostomy bags off the streets.
