I am lucky enough to have an FFL in the family who order it wholesale for me from SIG.

I've shot it about 100rds, nothing extensive.

Reminds me of a 223 AK basically except with more small parts you can loose.

Its loud as hell too, gas piston + 16" barrel + 223 = LOUD!!!!!!!!!

I think its a neat gun, would I carry it for SHTF? probably not, I'm a FAL kinda guy. But I enjoy it none the less.

Aww aint that loud lol! My 16" AR-10 is just kinda bassy but not that loud lol. Then again, I was a M60 and M240B gunner and I actually like the bassy sound of the 7.62

Gunbroker looks like you can get a sig 556 for $1600 all day.

I own a 556 and really like it. It is very accurate and handles well for me. I also really like its trigger.

Aftermarket parts are becoming more common.

I will agree that it is loud as hell!!

I would like to get a Ruger 10/22 or a Remington 870. Not sure which, but I know I need to get something. Got the bug after buying my Kimber at the last show.
