I have ended up with a modified Winchester '73 stock. A previous owner had removed approximately three or so inches (3+/-") from the back side of the stock and added a Browning made in the USA cushioning butt pad.

The stock appears to be a modified original.

There are some dings in the stock but no deep gouges.

There is a surface crack in one of the seams in the wood, the stock is NOT cracked.

It appears this stock was cut down for a teenager/woman/smaller person to shoot the 12 guage it was removed from. The shotgun was in very good condition as far as I could tell, I only have the stock.

Asking $50.00 OBO, FTF so you can see the stock and ensure it will meet your needs. I will ship to a buddy in PA who does shotgun restoration if it does not sell soon.

adding the photo, it seems to be taking, I learned a new trick!

The buttplate is a Browning. There is the honest patina of age, this is a nice stock for someone needing a bit shorter stock on their '73 without modifying the one they already have.
