Purchased 3 Wilson Combat mags for my 1911 over the weekend. Im pretty happy with them, but I have one that will not lock the slide back when the magazine is empty. Im thinking its a follower issue, because Ive had it before with stock style mags.

One think I like about these Wilson Combat mags is they are suppose to come apart for cleaning/rebuild/repair/etc fairly easily.

Which leads to my main question: How the heck do you get the follower out of the magazine on these??

    Clay,

On the bottom of the mag base you should find a recessed button.
Push that in with a punch or pen and slide the base off to the front.
Remove base and tab, carefully as the spring will eject.
The follower should come out from the bottom. (plastic)
Clean and reassemble in reverse, make sure the button snaps back up into the base or your base will fall off.

thats what I thought to, so I worked with it some more. The follower actually comes out the top just like a regular 1911 magazine.

so I got it, but not with out some frustration! ;)
