I just purchased a Springfield Armory 5.25 9mm. ( Like an idiot I also had the chance to purchase a new in the box Glock 34 for $600 and waited one day too long to confirm the sale and the seller sold it to another buyer ) :xmad:

Back to the question - am I correct that the S.A. is classified in ESP for IDPA shooting ? I have read the rule book but also thought I read ( perhaps the updated pending rules ) that the S.A. can be clasified in the SSP class ?

You are correct, sir. The Springfield XD/XDMS are currently in the ESP division, but with the new rulebook changes, they are supposed to be moved to SSP. So I guess keep an eye out for when those changes officially go live, as they are still ironing out details from what I understand.

I also just bought an XDm 5.25. Hope to try it out at the match this Sunday. Currently XDms are ESP, when the new rule book is approved it will be SSP.
