At what point does he stand for your liberty? Before or after you come out of the womb?

“Judges should be appointed who will interpret the Constitution according to its original meaning. Any court decision that does not follow this original meaning of the Constitution should be revisited. That is particularly true of decisions such as Roe vs. Wade, which have expanded the reach of the Federal government into areas of society never envisioned in the Constitution. With the overturning of Roe vs Wade, laws regarding abortion would be decided by the individual states.”

Are those views just today's or is this one of the few things he doesn't flip flop on?

It's what he's saying to get elected.

C'mon, you know the deal, they say what they think they believe, and think others will want to hear. If they guess right with enough of the people, they get enough votes to win.

Once they are in office, they have less ability to do what they believe and are forced to compromise which results in a lot of changed opinions, and a lot of, didn't get it dones.

This goes for all of them.

I've said many times before and I still believe it today. Obama will win by 10 points.

Well if you don't want him to win, then perhaps you should consider voting for someone who actually has a chance to dethrone him. It's a game of give and take. You can get a little of what you need for the next 4 years, but voting for your 2nd favorite candidate, or you can get none of what you need by voting for your favorite candidate.

    Romney, Obama, what's the difference?

This is actually a year where you vote truly does not matter. Indiana has nearly a 0% chance of going to Obama. Current odds are around a 5% chance for Obama. The flip side is, the presidential election is already over. I'm sorry, but Obama has already won. This can be seen as to how the RNC and DNC are doling out money in congressional elections - holding vs. regaining the House/Senate. Indiana conservatives need to make sure they didn't shoot themselves in the foot with Lugar. Donnelly and Murdock are locked in a dead heat, roughly 15% undecided. There is your money shot election.

If they are identical on the issues, then Pres. Obama has the momentum and to get his way. At least Romney will spend a year getting settled.

Pres. Obama can do more against us in a 2nd term than Romney can do in a 1st term.

So he believes Roe V Wade should be overturned, but that the commencement of the protection of rights recognized in the US Constitution pertaining to the citizenry should be decided by the states?

It's not always about what gets done but also what doesn't get done. They didn't call him Governor Veto for nothing. See the thread about presidential appointees. Johnson would veto that non sense down.

I agree that the state and congressional seats are gold. Getting a libertarian President who vetoes what isn't constitutional just might stop this progressive movement.

We have to stop before we can reverse. I see that constant veto as the stopping measure.
Evidently, your stance if that a term of nothing happening except vetos of everything is acceptable, OK.

Not sure what "rights" you're talking about in this context, but your question is essentially the text of the 10th Amendment, so yes. Johnson is for following the Constitution as written.

The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.

Murder is a state issue. I would think he should have no say whatsoever. You should have to look to your state representation.

And you should never have to try to reverse tyranny from the federal .gov as they should have no power to do such things. Unless you consider poor mail service to be tyranny.
