I don't understand why you would care what any one else likes on YOUR gun.

    It's not his gun, it's his dad's :D

For me at least, I like lots of different things, and hearing other people's thoughts either re-enforces my choice, or persuades me toward something else.

I might wonder about it a little if I was trying to make up my mind what some one else would like but I think if I wasn't pretty darn positive like finding it ripped out, circled, and with star on it pinned to the refrigerator door, I'd probably just ask him what he like in this here fancy gun magazine.

    Thanks everyone for their votes!

Dad ended up purchasing a set of dark diamondwood grips at the 1500 on Saturday, for an excellent price of $35 installed.

They were inexpensive enough that I doubt this will be the last pair of grips this gun sees.

    For now. . .

    Ordered a set of #17
Alumagrips Deluxe Tactical Checkered - Black Slimline

Anything with "tactical" in the name has to be good right? I'm hoping the slimline grips will let my little girl hands get a better grip and reach the mag release with less repositioning.

#18 style made from #8 material. I know it wasn't an option but I'm a have it your way type of guy. Mix and Match. Do something custom.

If it were on a weapon that I was going to depend my life on on a daily basis then #18:

If it's a showpiece, the personally, nothing beats a pair of these beauties
    ....in my opinion:

But I also like what you selected. I wish Hogue made a set like #18 to fit my Beretta Vertec. The guy I got it from took a pair of Hogue's for a 92 and trimmed them down to fit the 1911 style straight backstrap. Looks like crap. Anyone know if Hogue makes them in the wrap around style? I've e-mailed them twice and never got a reply.

^^ +1. If you want looks, then you should stick with the originals. If you want a comfortable firing weapon, I'd take the hogues (#18) any day.

:dunno: What type of grips are on number 15? :dunno:

They look like they would "stick" to your hand well.'

If everyone likes the rubber wraparound grips so much what about the Pachmayr wood/rubber grips.
Personally think the wood looks better than rubbery grips.
