    OK not sure if this goes here but here goes I'm about to sell my AR-15 to someone on here but upon the meet what do i need to do like a bill of sales signature ??? I'm dont really sure what i need or if i don't need anything thanks for any help again thanks Joe

    You say "Here's the gun" and he says "Here's the money". You just can't knowingly sell to a prohibited person.

    In Indiana, as long as you have no reason to suspect the buyer is a felon, under the age, mentally ill or anything else that disqualifies them from purchase, you don't need anything what-so-ever. Some people like to keep a paper trail for their own peace of mind. Personally, I prefer to sell and purchase with no transaction except cash/gun. That way I don't have to account for all those guns being thrown in the river down the road.

    I like to VIEW his or her drivers license and hopefully their carry permit. I do not record anything but if someone can show me these two items, I feel good to go.

    I don't mind someone doing a cursory glance at my ID/LTCH.

    That said if someone wants a bill of sale or to write down info off my ID they can find another buyer/seller.

    Also the idea that a "paper trail" is going to CYA is laughable at best.

    Cash and carry or no sale. Same goes for handguns.
