I did end up changing the grips to a Sile walnut checkered set.

I swapped the Black Rubber Grips from two of my Taurus Tracker Revolvers (a 357 Magnum and a 22 LR) for some nice myrtlewood custom grips I found on Ebay. They really look and feel good.

The old ones first---then the new---

Those look great. How do they feel when shooting full loads?

Do you have any issues with cartridge set back locking up the cylinder? I know that was a problem with the older S&W Model 53's in .22 Jet. The bottleneck design allowed the case to set back against the breech face, tying up the gun. I have 2 BFR's and would like to get a third in .30-30 Winchester. But I've never seen any.

Crappy picture, but here is my S&W model 29-4, 3" barrel, un-fluted cylinder, Magna Ported, stag grips, the holster is H.C. Leather Holsters Fort Deposit, Al.. I've owned the gun for several years, just got around to buying a holster for it.

XDS45, you can report your post by clicking on the yellow ! triangle and then ask the mods to move it to the one of the pistol threads. And welcome, by the way. :)
