    .22 mag Charter Arms Pathfinder (I can't afford to be a Smith snob any more) that I got for my 87-year-old Mom. I don't think she could handle the recoil of one of my .38's.

    That's a beaut of a 617. Mine is a -6, 10 shot and a lot of fun. Would like a lockless one someday. Gonna get some custom maple grips for it. Badger grips will mill out a set, I have some figured maple off my farm I'm gonna send in. Either put them on the 617 or 686.

    I've had this a couple weeks now, quickly becoming one of my favorite handguns in general. I know it's probably not recommend but I've even carried it a couple times.
