What's Your Favorite Place To Buy A Firearm? At A Gun Show Or Gun Shop?

i am yet to make it to a show; just started exercising my 2A rights in December. just shops for me so far. i do however have opinions on those shops.

For guns I prefer the gun shops. I frequent Fort Liberty, PSS, and Bradis. Fort Liberty has the nicest staff and good prices, PSS has good prices and the best selection of used and the best trades, Bradis has good prices (usually a little higher on new guns, but will deal more on used) and a good selection of used guns, but they seem to offer the least if you want to trade. For accessories, reloading supplies, and hard to find items, I prefer the gun shows.

I choose option #3, private individuals. I've probably bought most of my guns from private parties, whether on-line or FTF. Second would be gun shows.

For carry guns and competition guns: gun store.
For all other guns: private sales.

Gun shows combine the worst of two worlds for me: paperwork and price!

Either, or, it doesn't matter. Prefer shops or private party for guns and shows for all other stuff but I have purchased a couple at shows.

I've bought most at gun shops. Recently Ranger Supply and a few at H & H. Fair and friendly people.

Mostly gun shops or face to face. I've never seen a good deal at a gun show that tempted me as of yet.

Back in the day when the Fort Wayne gun show was a good show, I bought a couple of guns from Midwest because they had a killer price that beat surrounding shops.

My tactic was to shop best price at surrounding shops just before the gun show. If I could beat it at the gun show, I did. If I couldn't, I'd leave the show and go to the store to buy what I wanted.

It's like anything else. You have to know what you want and your prices.
