This is what makes me scratch my head. Why would they keep trotting him out there and create the perception that he is addled and not in charge? This seems purposeful. Was the plan to put him up as the nominee because he had the best shot at beating Trump, with the understanding that he would be making an early exit due to real or feigned cognitive decline?
