1) This is staged (not likely, but wouldn't put it past this administration)

2) This is a copy cat crime (most likely) to bask in all of the media attention given to the shooters in Aurora, Newtown, Arizona, California, etc., as well as the Boston Bombers.

* The state capitol building;
* Any portion of an airport facility where the carrying of firearms
is prohibited under federal law, except that no person shall be
prohibited from carrying any legal firearm into the terminal, if the

firearm as lawful baggage;
* Any church, synagogue, mosque or similar place of worship;
* A parade or demonstration for which a permit is issued by a governmental entity;

I said it before and I'll say it again...The problem isn't guns, it's cultural decline. No fathers in the home. Kids raised by video games and MTV. Lack of home training. When the nuclear family was the rule and not the exception this type of stuff just didn't happen. "Me and mom were going to the second line. I told her I didn't want to go because there are always shots at a second line," Tyler said. "And the second I heard shots, I heard shots fired, we ran outside and one man fell in my lap who had been shot."

Braden (identified earlier as the director of public affairs for the New Orleans Police Department) said detectives were interviewing witnesses and seeking surveillance video in the area.

"This is an extremely unusual occurrence, and we're confident that we will make swift arrests,'' Braden said.

So, if "there are always shots at a second line" and yet this was "an extremely unusual occurrence", I have to wonder if it was just unusual that the shooters were actually sober/unimpaired enough to hit anybody?

Of the stories I've read about this, none of the locals seem to be thinking of it in terms of a "mass shooting". I suspect the press will drop it once it is revealed as a gang related shooting.
