They've had a ban on chewing gum all together for quite some time. I'm not saying I agree with it, but it is a much prettier city than most American ones. It's disgusting how many pieces of gum are stuck to our sidewalks, even here in Indy.

I'm actually a fan of punishment such as the infamous caning of an American teen 20 years ago. Why waste a ton of taxpayer dollars keeping an idiot in prison for years? You can be sure he won't go vandalizing things again. Too bad it took a foreign company to whip his butt; maybe his parents didn't do enough of it earlier.
