Good year, hope to end it with a couple more buys to make it a great year. Budget for 2014 looks good for making it another good year. 2014 will be the year of the shotgun. Looking to buy a couple good doubles.

Indifferent. I bought and sold some. Ended up with the ones I wanted and nothing that is easy to find. Of course, I only buy the more rare items unless I get a deal on something.

    3 handgun moves this year:

    1. Bought a Ruger 22/45 Lite
    2. Sold that Ruger 22/45 Lite
    3. Bought an SR22

I didn't like anything about the 22/45 Lite... but I love my SR22!

What did you not like about the 22/45 Lite if you don't mind me asking? I was thinking of picking one up for plinking

I'm going to say it was a good year. I came full-circle on Glock. My first pistol a few years ago was a G4 G17 that I hated, and I also had a G3 G26 that I disliked almost as much. Enter 2013, a couple years had gone by to learn better techniques, and I shot my younger brother's G4 G23 (which I couldn't believe he bought, and I *knew* I would HATE). The skies parted, the angels sang, and now I have one that I've shot the daylights out of, and it practically begs me to drive it harder.

All in all, it was a year of letting go of things that felt great at the gun shop but not so much at the range, and replacing with things that do. So yeah, from an experience and fine-tuning point, 2013 was good!

Good year for me too. I added 2 new handguns. The first was a very well used Colt Detective Special that has a ton of character. I upgraded my EDC from a Bersa Thunder 9 UC, to the Glock 19. I got a great deal from a fellow INGOer on a new USA made model. Of course that meant picking up a new holster too, Raven Concealment Systems, which I give a big :yesway:.

I also managed to track down enough ammo over the course of the year to get much more comfortable and proficient with handguns in general.

Not to mention I picked up a 1937 Mosin Nagant and a new Ruger 10/22 but haven't shot either of them yet :noway:. Too add the cherry on top, I've managed to score more than 2k rounds of .22lr, a stripped lower, and 150 rds of Federal 9mm HST LE JHPs all in the last 3 months.

Needless to say, it's been a great 2013 for the Greaseman, and with a nice raise coming next year, 2014 should be good as well. :rockwoot:

I only bought one gun this past year, a used Colt 1911 Series 70.

Other than that, I've fully depleted my .22 supply.

I've shot out everything I owned in 9mm

I no longer own any surplus .40

.45acp may as well be currency after the past couple years. But, it's one of the cartridges I reload along with .38/.357.

Still, I can't keep up, reloading saves you $0 exactly.

Net / Net, I'm down 4 guns vs the start of 2013 but it was on purpose. Picked up a Sig P228 that I've wanted for a long time and traded in to an XDS. Also got a chance to train more (vs buying guns) this year which was great.
