They have been raised in a protective coccoon where bad things do not happen and they can do no wrong. Where any misstep is cleaned up for them and all is ok.

This is right out of the play book that has been used by other countries with much success. We hear it time and again, "...those that do not learn from history are doomed to repeat it".

I can only assume they are not teaching history in school these days...

There are people here on INGO that think registration is OK. Either support out right registration or the sneaky way of getting it done, universal background checks. Liberals have only one agenda - Total Absolute Disarmament. If they have to do it in steps eroding the 2A a little bit at a time that is fine with them. But be aware every infringement brings you one step closers to confiscation.

I totally agree. I would look at the very beginnings of our nation and the events that led up to the revolutionary war with Britain. Compare our present day government approach to American citizens with the way the colonists were treated by the British. Brush up on the British military commanders who were in charge of the British troops in the colonies. British General Thomas Gage attempted to seize stores of Patriot gunpowder and militias in April of 1775 sparked the Battles of Lexington and Concord, beginning the American fight for independence. Doesn't this bear a frightening resemblance to what so many politicians are attempting to do in our present day and age, from the US President down to the congressman, governors, mayors, and police? Ignorance is a great ally of evil.

As we have heard so many times, those who fail to learn the lessons of history are doomed to repeat them.
