EPA and tushplug will be announcing the air quality is fine and it will be recommended that residents take deep breaths as they drive by to see the fire first hand.

City of Richmond owns a big part of this fireground. Estimates are 125K sq. ft. Of warehouse space that is packed floor to ceiling and wall to wall with plastic material. Our fire assets are managing with help from county departments from surrounding communities. They are doing a fantastic job dealing with a situation our local elected “leaders” have feared could happen for years and failed to do anything substantive to prevent, like force the “recycling business” using this property to clean up their .

My daughter is in school for engineering and they were talking about this on one of her classes. It really is a scam, only a SMALL fraction of produced plastic is even CAPABLE of being recycled. It's just a "feel good" that people put ALL plastics into a recycle bin.

Yep...and it is not a profitable endeavor

And now there’s a large plastic resin plant on fire in Georgia with evacuations. Awful lot of disasters going on lately, coincidence? I think not.

    No.
    Industrial fires are a thing.
    They happen ALL THE TIME.
    Now they're news.

In 30 years, I don't know how many fires I've fought.
But I do remember I peaked at 6 major fires in 1 month.
That was an exception for a month.
But I'm pretty sure I fought 4 fires a year, for 30 years, at least.
And that was just in 1 building, out of a 10 square mile facility.

    And you're talking about NATIONWIDE.
How many industrial facilities are there in the nation?
And if 1 percent of 1 percent catch fire, that's a lot of fires.
