Are the p22's worth their weight in gold? I have been thinking about buying one. Any thoughts?

    Today's price= $928.40 per troy ounce
    1 troy ounce = 1.09714286 ounces
    Walther P22 (3.4" barrel w/o mag) = 15.1 ounces

Walther P22 weight to gold ratio = $12,777.59

So, after calculations, no, the Walther is NOT worth that much.

But it's worth the $300-310 or so you can buy it new for. :D

I got one and have never fired it. Its hard to find a pistol brand new for 300 dollars
It is a good looking gun, and comes with a box and two clips

They are lots of fun. Small, light weight, good ergonomics. Don't expect your grandkids to hand it down to their grandkids though, because they aren't built for long lives.

Fun for few thousand rounds though

I really like mine. I have both barrel lengths. I wish suppressors weren't a $200 tax stamp :( A lot of of good .22LR suppressors are out there in the $250-$400 range but then throw on the tax and you are paying at least 50% more. I have the thread adapter all ready for one but not the cash.

Yeah my only complaint would be the cast metal slide. Not a forever gun, but I'll probably not shot it enough to worry about it. Rimfirecentral forums have a lot of good info.

I have a little S&W .22 target pistol model 22A-1. It shoots pretty nice groups with its 5.5 inch barrel, but its a little big (its got an accessory rail as well) to carry around for finishing off birds, squirrels, etc. Would it be worth selling this one in order to buy a walther?
