I have been reading on other forums that a "No Gun" sign, in other states, do not carry the force of law and if caught carrying in one of these places, the only recourse the business has is to ask you to leave. If you do not leave, then they can have you arressted for trespassing. How are these signs/businesses viewd in Indiana?

They work exactly the same as the "No shirt, no shoes, no service" signs. You can be asked (told) to leave. If you refuse, it becomes a trespass issue.

Unless, of course, that sign is posted on a school. ;)

If you're asking about other states then the answer you're looking for is maybe. In some states a no gun sign DOES have the force of law. Not in Indiana. If you're traveling to another state it will behoove you to investigate THAT states laws concerning signage.

Thanks everyone. I was asking about Indiana specifically.

btw...sorry for the mispelling in the title of the thread. Trying to multi-task. :):
