A trip down Memory Lane, got any vague memories of your youth to share?
Mine are mostly food related because I'm me, but they all have one thing in common, they were all great places that are gone, gone, gone.

    Satellite Drive-In on Madison Ave.
    Virginia Grill on Washington St.
Porky Lane Grocery Store and farmer's market on W. Morris St.
    Woolworth's Diner in Greenwood
    Emro's Sporting Goods downtown Indy.

Ice skating at Willow Slough for hours.
Playing Little League baseball, a chili dog and ice cream cone after the game (Fowler).
Hiding leftover beers in a culvert so we wouldn't get caught.
Driving to Illinois to buy beer cause you had to be 21 in Indiana.

So many great memories, I could fill pages.

SAP'S donuts. I grew up a half mile from the plant in Columbus; the smell of freshly baked donuts is a fond memory.

The constant smell of diesel smoke coming from the test cells at Cummins Diesel Engine Co. on the far side of Columbus, has another, less pleasant, memory attached to it.
