Reading the article it seems they're just used to what they've always had. And they tried to bastardize a m16 with ak mag when they tried to produce their own. Says they received m16 with acog? Good grief thats a hell of a combo weapon .

I found it interesting in the article where they said it was common to stretch white elastic bands from the rear sight to the front sight in order to make a rudimentary night sight. I have never heard of that before.

The source quoted in the article is from the LPR Militia, AKA the Russians. So, its the Russians stating that the Ukrainians hate their western kit and much prefer the Russian weapon. Maybe its true, but I would rather hear it from the UA forces. I have seen interviews of Ukrainians praising their AR weapons systems, particularly in .308, so I will go with that for now.

Turn back in the M4 to get the AK replacement. Ammo the same. Accountability for every round.
