This is sorta a follow-up thread to my previous question. Thread here: https://www.indianagunowners.com/fo...n/203813-30_carbine_allowed_at_mcf_and_g.html

I am planning on going to the monthly board meeting which looks like it will be May 1st. My intentions are to get the .30 Carbine cartridge approved to shoot at MCF&G.

I will be needing to bring information and data on the cartridge. I think it will be a good idea to bring information and data on other cartridges that are allowed to be shot there like .500 S&W, .44 Magnum, ect. for comparison to the .30 Carbine.

What I am asking is can anybody recommend me what type of information to bring, and where to find it? Any help or suggestions is much appreciated.

    Thanks

Hodgens reloading section will have differant bullet weights and the associated velocities.

you can print off a handy chart to for each caliber you want to compare.

enter that data into foot pounds energy calculator and you can get actually energy at the muzzle as well.

should be all the data they need to make an informed decision.

Max is 110gr bullet and ~2200fps.

Other pistol calibers from rifles (.44 Mag, .357 Mag, .500 S&W) can hit about the same velocity, albeit with heavier bullets.

Super-Magnums like the .454 and .460 can get considerably higher.
