I use the 1 oz load in Gun Club hulls charged with CLAYS powder and claybuster clones of REM TGT 12 wads. I just use the load data right off the Hodgdon website. It will treat you right all the way to the back line.

This^^^ and also always use a proven load from a manufacturer.

Thanks guys! I have been using what's on Hodgdon's website as well but I wondered if there was a cost effective way. I have been using 700X 1oz. Win200 Primers Claybuster Wads AA hulls and #7 1/2 shot which seems to be working good but just looking to save a little more so I can do it more.

Where is the best place around Indy to get supplies? I live in Fishers.

I have reloaded 1000's of 12 ga rounds using any Remington hulls, clays, clay dot, or red dot powder, and claybuster 1 oz wads. I load to 1200 fps, but mostly shoot from the 16 yard line. At the present I am using a MEC 9000G.

I prefer shot smaller that 7.5. It is hard to get 9's but 8's and 8.5's do the trick. The smaller shot makes for a dense pattern

check out hodgdon web site for AA win loads. i only use wst powder, 7 1/2 shot and claybuster wads. works great for 26 yd line too, and sporting clays as well. i used to load 8's and 9's, but have decided after inspecting "lost" birds there was a small hole in a lot of them but didnt break it, so have gone totally 7 1/2's. now a miss is really a miss....daryll

From the 16 yard line, I shoot 7/8oz of #8 over Claybuster wads and PROMO powder loaded to 1250fps in Remington Gun Club hulls with Fiocchi primers. That's about as cheap as I can get things as far as I know.
